No one looks forward to air travel for business these days. It’s frustrating and tense and certainly doesn’t calm the nerves when meetings with important clients are on the other end. We need something to make flying for business a little easier and less stressful. Well, director and photographer Markus Esser now proves luxurious comfort does exist on the ground and in the air with the new Quest Air Services.
Targeting influential clients who have to be on the next plane, Quest is a private jet-charter service without the hustle and pressure of security checks. It’s accessible and accommodates a hectic lifestyle with pickup service and delivery right to the plane, right on time. Markus is known for his rich automotive-lifestyle storytelling. He was contacted directly by new client Helder Brand Design and worked with Creative Directors Maurits den Held, Dr. Birgit Joest and Creative Director Lutz Meyer of Fullberry Agency.
They loved his technical strength in pictures and knew he was the perfect choice to communicate how transportation can blend beautifully with high-tech design and authentic lifestyle. Shot on location at a smaller airport outside of Berlin, the Quest project was no easy feat. Beauty shots of the plane were done before and after sunrise with breezy lifestyle imagery done inside the plane. Doesn’t sound too tough until you realize it was 15 degrees Celsius or about five degrees Fahrenheit during the night.
And planes don’t make money if they are grounded so the pace had to be fast and furious. In less than 24 hours including travel time, Markus got all shooting done for the plane to go back into action the next day. The shoot was a success even with such a tight time frame and frigid temperatures.
Markus gives much credit for the seamless production to the agency’s clear briefing, smooth internal production units and to the CD with his creative input throughout the prep and post processing. Both the agency and client loved how Markus combined technical expertise with elegant high-flying style. Post production for Quest Air Services was done with Zerone Berlin for print, broadcast, video and Internet presentations in Europe and can be seen here .
