Bring out the Hellmann’s and you bring out the best in expert food photographer Colin Cooke and his new “Hellmann’s Makes It Simple” campaign for the iconic brand. Wunderman Thompson and Unilever love Colin’s refreshing approach to food photography and have brought him back for a repeat performance on social media.
Creative Director Jeremy Kinder and Art Director Kamel Ajerdi wanted a new photo library showcasing 11 recipes with Hellmann’s mayo as one of the ingredients for a first-time rollout on Pinterest. In a one-week shoot at Go Studios in NYC Colin had the huge task of shooting both horizontally and vertically while overseeing a large tech crew as well as food and prop stylists.
His unique style for food capture, superb lighting and smooth coordination reinvented such down-home favorites as Keto Wedge Salad, Cheesy Hot Pockets, Quick Biscuits, Chorizo Eggs Benedict and Chocolate Cake in a Cup. Colin also shot a Gif for each recipe to be used across various social media platforms. “Amazing work last week, our team is still raving about the shots,” says Wunderman CD Jeremy Kinder. Classic imagery is now appearing for the classic “better-than-butter” spread.
