“At the age of 19, I packed a small backpack and an instamatic camera, and left Norway to go traveling around the world in search of a greater purpose. After nearly two years of exploring – during which I experienced, saw, and tasted much of what the world had to offer – I discovered the irrepressible desire in me to photograph. My photography developed beyond an avocation, into both a profession and a lifelong passion.
The members of my team are the hardest working and coolest people you will ever meet. We only work with the very best people, resulting in productions that come off without a hitch, and within budget. As a result we have a lot of happy, loyal and long-term clients. It is my true belief that you are not only what you eat, but also the people, places, and activities in which you are invested. Life is too short to not enjoy and establish roots in every moment and detail of it.”

"I am the grandson of steel mills and coal mines south of Pittsburgh and was raised in the Southern California sun. The result is a dual citizenship of an eastern work ethic and blind romantic optimism. .
Education, Experiences, Relationships – they all have to be believable. My work lives in that space, whether it’s motion, stills, single capture or composites for lifestyle, kids and family, seniors, the workplace, documentary or devoted pets. I’m not the camera I hold or the awards on the shelf. I’m a dad and second rodeo husband. I work, eat, learn and love intensely. I will talk to anyone: the byproduct of a fantastic, funky first job in high school selling peanuts at California Angel baseball games. Hustled for commissions, dealt with drunk fans, flirted with popcorn girls and saw the occasional double play. All of it has translated into authentic image making with heart. This is one of the craziest, best jobs on the planet — to be a visual circus ringmaster. It involves constant change and the occasional tightrope walk. I am perfectly comfortable talking with clients anytime and always respectful of their ideas and needs. It’s their budget, and we are entrusted to use it with thought and care.
When work rings a recognizable bell of memory, then I know we are there. You will find “relationships” all through my work."

Peter Rodger grew up looking through a camera lens. As a teenager, the award-winning British director and photographer honed his skills by assisting his father, George Rodger, the renowned photojournalist and co-founder of Magnum Photos. After completing his education at England’s Maidstone College of Art, his skill with the lens has made him one of the most sought-after talents in both the European and United States advertising markets.
Peter has developed a deeply visual style of shooting that has become increasingly popular. Visceral cinematic imagery captures the soul of performance in a non-contrived, yet observational way that makes his imagery engaging with a natural, yet energetic execution.
His ever-evolving style has yielded over 35 awards as best director from The Houston International Film Festival, Chicago International Film Festival, The Telly Awards, The Mobius Awards and the US International Film and Video Festival. Peter produced and directed the epic non-fiction film entitled “Oh My God” – which explores peoples’ diverse opinions and perceptions of God, released in 2009.
In 2012, Peter collaborated with Gary Ross as second unit director on the motion picture blockbuster “The Hunger Games,” creating the propaganda film for the fictional “Capitol” in the story.
Peter has written eight screenplays and is attached to direct three of them. In 2009, his first book “The OMG Chronicles” was released, published by Hayhouse.
Peter lives in Los Angeles with his family.

From a conversation with an art buyer:
“Natural, appealing portraits of real people in simple, emblematic settings. Your pictures always make the subject the hero of the shot supported by a background or complimentary setting that helps to tell the story without becoming the story.
Your unique talent is that you create these portraits with ease and without fanfare and the net result is that they always hit the spot - they are effective, believable and usually joyful.
They never appear staged yet they appear to be a very special reality - that is one of happy acceptance - happy to be young or happy to be old, white, black, yellow, brown, happy to be. And happy to be wherever they may be - on the streets of Cairo, New York City, suburban USA, in the corporate office, the hospital, etc., etc.
Driving it all is that sense of truth within yourself that steers you away from what is false and toward that which is true. “

It's all about feeling: Creating an emotional connection in images that range from quiet and still to explosively dynamic.
I love shooting people with a zest for life. I can work fast and light or crew up as needed for both stills and motion production with a great team.
I operate locally from Southern California, NY/Philly and Los Cabos, Mexico.
Every assignment is an opportunity to create something extraordinary....and have a lot of fun. Authentic, emotional, time-slowing, cinematic imagery is how I see the world. And my notepad is filled with future personal projects.

Curious, smart, witty, urbane, short (ish). Operates best between 4:30 am and 9:00 am, then again from 3:00 pm to 9:30 pm. Moves fast and light. Carries a big crew. Drinks coffee. Then more coffee. Won't drink Dunkin' Donuts. Love stills. Love motion. Love both. Sometimes not at the same time, unless fully and lovingly supported. Mixed about social media. Too self-important. And how many pictures of your cat do we really need. Or your meal? I get it. It's fun. Really? Love the industry and all that comes with it. Good folks. Creative types. Jeans. Tee shirts. Often travel with my guitar. Would travel with two, but that's a hard line item to justify. Love the people I shoot. Have made a lot of friends out there, all of which I'm thankful for. Have been to a few fun places too, which remind me that there are so many centers of the universe that you shouldn't hang your hat in one place too long. Open-minded enough to know that there's something to learn every day.

"I was fortunate enough to travel the world growing up. My father was in the Air Force so I began my world travels at birth. When I was 10 my parents bought me my first camera. As we traveled,I took pictures to document our adventures. Little did I know at the time, but this experience would influence my career choices an adult as well as inform my asthetic as a photographer.
Landscape is the foundation of every image I create whether it's people, objects or places. This approach allows each project to grow from a single perspective of the subject itself creating a unifying force behind the image.
The notion of the landscape as a photographic approach, is unique in of itself. This allows for effective execution of the concept because it does two things: (1) Creates an image that is appealing in it?s formal treatment, it engages the viewer and (2) simultaneously delivers the message of the project without the viewer recognizing it.
To this end I strive to create impactful, beautiful images that resonate with the viewer. There are few rewards greater than this"
